Why the name Phineas Gage?
Because we know about individuality, luck, and endurance.
Before the age of thirty, Jaime Hazley Weisbrot recognized her dream of owning a men’s clothing store. She quite literally reconstructed the flagship store into a trendy, relaxed atmosphere for men to shop and hang out. Jaime’s drive and steady determination created a new brand and the beginning of her greatest adventure.
Phineas Gage was a prominent man in history known for his improbable survival of a severe brain injury. (And by severe, we mean a hot, iron rod shooting through his skull.) The initial fluke would have ensured him fame, but his name was further engraved into history books as his case was the first to link brain trauma to personality changes. Gage continued to evolve into different personalities as he lived.
So Phineas Gage, the man and the store, emanate perseverance and burgeoning adventure. And as the savvy Gage first went to the doctor after the accident he remarked, “Here is business enough for you.” He knew he was about to bring the excitement.
We couldn’t agree more.
